Where does the event take place?
The event will take place at Eau Claire market – 200 Barclay Parade SW – in Downtown Calgary! The outdoor market will stretch along Barclay Parade, with outdoor shows, performances and food trucks on the North Plaza!
There will also be games, kids activities and a public art installation inside the Market.
What will happen to Eau Claire Market once it closes?
Eau Claire Market will officially close its doors on Friday, May 31st, 2024. The building will be handed over to the City of Calgary on June 1st to pave the way for the future Eau Claire Green Line LRT Station.
JOEY Eau Claire and LOCAL Public Eatery will continue to operate, along with a section of the south surface parking lot.
The addition of the future Green Line Station is expected to be a catalyst for the site; supporting Harvard Developments’ plan to transform it into a mixed-use, transit-oriented area that aligns with the growth strategy of Downtown Calgary.
To prepare for station construction, demolition of the Eau Claire Market is anticipated to begin in July and completed this Fall.
How can I apply to be a vendor?
Local makers and entrepreneurs are invited to be part of our “final market” at Eau Claire Market. Vendors can apply by visiting eauclairemarket.com/vendor-application
This is a FREE opportunity for vendors, although vendors will be required to supply all their own equipment (tables, chairs, tent, etc).
Where can I park?
There is FREE parking on Saturday May 11th within our Eau Claire Market Parkade (East side of Eau Claire Market along 2nd Street SW) or on the south Parking Lot (outside of Cineplex)
